The Spanish Grand Prix broke records at the Jerez - Ángel Nieto circuit both in the stands and on the track. In the Moto3 class. The CFMOTO Aspar Team did not have the expected end in the first Spanish round of the calendar. Joel Esteban started the Spaniard Grand Prix from thirteenth position on the grid. The Spanish rider was very confident to make a good performance and move up positions. After the lights went out, the CFMOTO Aspar Team rider stayed in the group to secure as many points as possible. Unfortunately, Esteban suffered a crash in turn nine before completing the second lap, ending his race early.
Dennis Foggia, who also started from the fifth row of the grid, lost a few positions at the start after having to avoid a multiple crash on the first lap. The Italian increased the pace and climbed up from twenty-first place to the points positions and stayed in the group. The CFMOTO Aspar Team rider continued to make progress and moved up to thirteenth position to score his first points at Jerez.
In Moto2 category, CFMOTO Aspar Team riders, on the other hand, could not finish the first race in front of the home fans with a good taste in their mouths. David Alonso and Dani Holgado started the race from the third and fourth rows of the grid. Both riders faced this race with enthusiasm and willing to continue scoring points and consolidating all the progress made in their debut year in the intermediate category. After a good start, Alonso and Holgado reached the top 10 and tried to overtake more rivals. Before the end of the first lap, Dani Holgado, who was behind his teammate, was forced to go off the line to avoid a collision with Alonso, which caused him to crash and miss out on the race for the first time this season.
Meanwhile, David Alonso faced a tough race, in which the riders were constantly fighting to overtake each other. The CFMOTO Aspar Team rider was involved in an action with another rider in which both went to the ground, at the same point where his teammate had crashed.
