October 9th 2024 will be marked in the annals of CFMOTO’s rapid rise and storied history. More than 100 guests including the highest tiers of management, department heads, distributors, dealers and staff from various plants joined together at the off-road vehicle production facility to watch the one-millionth ORV speed away from the assembly line. 2024 represents CFMOTO’s 35th year of existence, and the one-millionth ORV – the flagship Z10 - represented the significant milestone of units to have been crafted and honed at the factory.
After speeches from Mr. Charles Ni, chief sales officer of CFMOTO, Mr Wu Jun, the representative of CFMOTO ORV Plant and Jake Mirabal, VP of Sales of CFMOTO USA, the powerful Z10 rolled through the final steps of the production process, was signed by the dignitaries and then guided to a parking place of honor at CFMOTO headquarters.
In a relatively short time, CFMOTO has established popularity and standards in the global ORV market. The technical proficiency has led to presence in more than 100 markets and through more than 4000 active dealerships. CFMOTO occupy #1 in ORV market share in more than 30 different countries, and are the largest and most prominent exporter from China.
CFMOTO’s diversification as a manufacturer owes a lot to their innovation and accomplishment in off-road vehicle engineering. The company was founded in 1989 as a fabricator of motorcycle parts but in less than eight years they had produced their first liquid-cooled engine and then entered the powersports industry with the initial CFMOTO scooter in 2000. Refinement of a versatile and dependable 500cc motor in 2004 led to an intense period of off-road development and the first ORV appeared a year later with the CF500 and CF500-A (2-up), that both took center stage at CFMOTO’s debut appearance at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy: the largest salon of its kind in the world. 
The CF500 was distinct as a groundbreaker in China: a 500cc all-purpose unit with an independent suspension system. The trail began. The CF500 was a sales success and went through numerous upgrades until the end of its lifecycle in 2015. The spread into UTV and ATV production then accelerated. Different engine platforms emerged and the ORV line-ups are defined as CFORCE, UFORCE and ZFORCE.
Sport products, electronics progression, suspension and hardware improvements, user comfort and chassis evolution marked the comprehensive span of subsequent offerings in the expanding CFMOTO line-up. In 2019 the EVOLUTION A was an electric concept ATV that turned heads and opened minds and was the forerunner to the UFORCE E in 2023.
Twenty years after the story was born, with phenomenal sales and strong market share CFMOTO broadened horizons again with the first ‘SSV’, featuring a turbocharged, triple-cylinder engine, cutting-edge electronics, FOX QSE shocks with Eibachsprings, and a premium sport interior. Boundaries continue to be pushed.
The ORV commemoration in Hangzhou included a tour through the plant with a comprehensive and historical display of previous models that define CFMOTO’s narrative, and showed how an attitude towards robust but advanced and desirable vehicles stimulated an industry that was seeking power, performance and practicality.
“The roll off of the one-millionth ORV signifies not merely a quantitative break through but also a proof of our years of technological innovation and market expansion.” commented Mr. Charles Ni to the assembled crowd. “This landmark achievement would have been impossible without the hard work of our staff and the loyalty and dedication of our distributors and dealers. This moment belongs not just to CFMOTO but to our entire global family.”
“As one of the first workers to assemble our off-road vehicles, I still remember when CF500-A, our first-ever ATV, rolled off the assembly line. We did not have much experience then, but we kept exploring and working hard to face challenges.” explained Mr. Wu Jun, who has worked at the ORV plant since 2005 and has overseen almost all of CFMOTO’s chronology with the products. “In 18 years, I have witnessed CFMOTO's great leap from producing only a few off-road vehicles to more than one million. We have improved our technology and expanded product lines, providing more choices for our users worldwide.”

CFMOTO’s spectacular achievement of innovation and design as well as acute perception of the needs and requirement of the two and four-wheel mobility market has brought the company up to this unique demonstration. 1,000,000 ORVs in two decades is indicative of the energy and the passion inside the firm. The power will surge on, and the second million marker will not be too far in the future.
