CFMOTO sets the excitement level for 2025 with massive international launch in Portugal and new Motorcycle and ORV models

CFMOTO started 2025 with its hands determinedly fixed on the throttle. The mission for increased expansion with more products that will excite and stimulate the international market continues, and the company focused on an impressive global launch in western Europe for their first statement of another busy year.

Hundreds of media and key CFMOTO staff and contacts congregated for several days in the versatile location of Portimao in Portugal. The wonderful Algarve International Circuit and the off-road trails outside the motorsport venue as well as the sweeping local roads of the hilly landscape were idyllic as a stage for guests learn about the new motorcycles and vehicles and then put the models through their paces.

A comprehensive presentation kicked-off the event with Markus Ferch, CFMOTO’s Vice President of Sales for Europe, outlining how the firm had enjoyed 21% rapid growth in 2024 and hit a profit mark of 1.6 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of the year. This was partly due to the excellent global dealer and distribution network and a widening customer base but also a 100m+ dollar investment in product R&D: almost 7% of total revenue spread through the four centers located in China, the U.S. and Italy. Production has increased in the six plants based in China and Thailand.

Markus also mentioned the notable milestones logged in 2024: the 35th anniversary of CFMOTO, the 1,000,000 ORV to roll off production lines, Riders, Teams and Manufacturers titles for CFMOTO in the Moto3 world championship (part of the MotoGP series) and a top five finish in the Quad category at the Dakar rally.

CFMOTO’s 2-wheel Design Director, Carles Solsona, then proceeded to talk about the 675 engine platform: the triple cylinder at the heart of a fresh generation of attention-grabbing motorcycles for the midweight segment of the market. The DOHC liquid-cooled 675 blends the typical low torque of a twin with the smooth power of a four cylinder and pumps out 66kW @ 11,000 rpm with maximum torque of 68Nm @ 8250 rpm. The internally developed motor is compact and light (well over 1kg lighter than competitors in the segment thanks to the tight design and fabrication). It also hits Euro 5+ guidelines with ease: CFMOTO are proud of the environment performance of the engine and were eager to show how it has been the centerpiece of 2025 development.

675SR-R

There was an audible reaction as the 675SR-R was unveiled under the lights at the Algarve International Circuit. A bike created to stir the emotions of riders for the street and raise the pulse much further for use on a track, the 675SR-R is a stunning expression of aerodynamic-inspired design, smooth lines and aggressive form. The guise of the 675 engine guarantees a max speed of 220km/h and 0-100 in 3.6 seconds. As a high-performance motorcycle the 675SR-R, with its race-orientated alloy tubular chassis and other ‘track’ touches such as the angled aluminum swingarm and underfloor exhaust, is purposeful but also versatile thanks to the latest technology (ABS with modifiable traction control, ride modes and 5” TFT) and sporty yet easy-to-ride ergonomics. The 675SR-R will thunder along with aplomb thanks to fully adjustable KYB suspension and 41mm USD forks and then stop on a dime with 300mm and 240mm brake discs. The rider’s experience will be boosted with the appliance of a Quickshifter (and an easily reversal gearbox for the circuit) but also in terms of the software with an optional T-Box with a 6D sensor and the CFMOTO RIDE app for the benefits of GPS-based features and OTA updates. The 675SR-R comes in Aerolite Grey, Nebula Black and Nebula White and the futuristic LED lighting system (more than 100 units in both the headlight and attractive narrow taillight) is another detail that screams ‘21st century’. Count on a raft of accessories and other components to sculpt the 675SR-R more to the asphalt of the track or for a street setting that cannot fail to generate satisfaction.

675NK

The 675 engine also graces the latest entry to the revered CFMOTO naked bike family. The 675NK represents a strong step for the second generation of the NK series. The bike is a fantastic mix of contradiction: advanced and detailed yet simple in form and design, practical but also apt for sporty riding. Visually, the 675NK extends the most open of invitations to climb aboard but a closer look reveals a host of impressive specs that boost the value and performance potential of this package. The 675 motor takes a proportion of the 189kg curb weight and is primed for an excellent overtaking and acceleration experience, boosted by a Quickshifter that will get the show moving faster. The suspension is fully adjustable (41mm USD forks), dual-channel ABS is complemented by 2-level traction control and 300/240mm 4-piston caliper brakes. The profile accentuates aerodynamics but has also been cast for wind protection where possible, a 15L tank and with a spacious seat – set at 810mm to accommodate a wider range of riders and with further accessory options - to amplify ergonomics. A TPMS is one of many settings that can be seen and tweaked through the large 5” TFT with MotoPlay projection and CFMOTO RIDE app integration. LED lights surround the color choices in Glacier White and Tundra Gray.

125NKNext, CFMOTO reduced the capacity but kept within the range with the new 125NK: a bike that inherits part of the NK design language, and with priorities towards maximum efficiency with minimum fuss. Labelled with the moniker ‘Fun Machine’, the 125NK opens the naked bike platform into the lower capacity segment and makes quite a statement. The styling is the first eye-catcher with aggressive but fluid lines. The package is compact and lithe but also bold and presential thanks to the intricate bodywork combination. The wheelbase is 1360mm, seat height at 780mm and weight at 142kg. The 12.5L tank fuels a single-cylinder 11kW Euro5+ engine with 11Nm of torque at 8500rpm: snappy power to ensure a grin and escape from most traffic situations. The 125NK rides well due to the 37mm USD forks and monoshock that intelligently adjusts damping to various road conditions, ensuring exceptional handling and comfort. Stopping power comes through the 292mm/220mm disc brakes, dual-channel ABS and adjustable traction control. Extra visual vibes emanates through the LED system and two color choices.

700MT

The CFMOTO NKs were not the only beneficiaries of the company’s flowering R&D work to be displayed and introduced in Portugal. ‘MT’, rather obviously, stands for ‘Multi-functional Touring’ and adds another dimension to CFMOTO’s road prominence. 450MT, 800MT Sport, and 800MT Explore models have harnessed the possibilities of off-road adventure but the second-generation 700MT brings an updated and more rigorous element into consideration with refined handling/power, rigidity, and a perfect tick for those who savor time in the saddle and place deep value in commuting, travel, and exploration. Ultimate selling points? How about highly developed ergonomics from a low 800mm seat height for pristine control in both the seating and standing positions. At the heart of this machine lies one of CFMOTO’s most stable and durable engines, trusted by over 100,000 riders worldwide. The motor has been honed for more smoothness and improved low-end torque; all for dependable and consistent performance. The 700MT is built to handle any challenge. Going the distance is helped by 19/17” aluminum spoke rims, a 20L tank, wide handlebars and switchable ABS and TC plus special characteristics like optional quick-release aluminum alloy cases, bumpers, guard plates, hand guards, a navigation cross bar, heated grips and seats, movable windscreen, TPMS, foldable gear lever, and removable footrests. Glide across terrain with fully adjustable 43mm forks and never lose your way with all the CFMOTO RIDE App advantages through the 5” TFT.

800MT-XHiking the adventure spirit even deeper, the 800MT-X takes a more specialized step into looser track and trail surfaces with a 60-40% orientation for off-and-on road personality and settings. Riders can depend on 10Nm more torque (87Nm) compared to the 800MT Explore and reduced vibration with the balancer shaft tech.

The motor has easily passed endurance tests exceeding 100,000km. Another differential is the 48mm fully adjustable suspension system and an increase over the bike’s sibling. There is more ground clearance (240mm) and more suspension travel (230mm) and a low-slung 22.5L tank ergonomically shaped to go those extra distances. ABS can be deactivated on the rear wheel while the 800MT-X still offers Cornering ABS for extra safety provisions. More? There’s Bosch traction control, a Quickshifter, Cruise control, TPMS, a steering damper, movable windscreen, a skid plate and anti-slip foot pegs. The wheels measure 21/18” and hold a chromoly frame, trellis subframe and aluminum swingarm for the best overall chassis combination of weight, feel and stability for the exploration ahead. Directional guidance is even simpler with the wider 7” TFT and all the maintenance and travel software riders will expect of a motorcycle of this ilk. The 800MT-X is the pinnacle of CFMOTO’s adventure engineering. Its unmistakable and rugged design says: ‘hardcore rally’.

Z10

The new 800MT-X looked far too clean and pristine on stage and was soon rasping through terrain around the Algarve later in the event but the formal unveiling of the bike did allow Mr Ferch to transition nicely into CFMOTO’s new ORV vehicles for 2025. First along was the Z10. This product was initially uncovered at the last EICMA show but is now ready to hit the dirt in the hands of the consumers. It continues the excellent Z lineage that began back in 2010. The Z10 has an all-new turbocharged triple-cylinder engine with a displacement of 998cc. This gives an impressive 143hp and 138Nm at 7750 rpm, translating into raw force felt with every stab of the throttle and funneled through the OmniDrive CVT system for smooth delivery. The Z10 has a remarkable driver-centric cockpit, aligned with high standards of automotive interiors. The controls (and 12.3” MMI display) are arranged ergonomically, and the instrument panel is within easy reach while specially designed seats provide excellent support and comfort, even during intense driving or through complex landscapes. The FOX 3 Adjustable Suspension Modes further enhances its off-road performance. The Z10 is available in Nebula Black or Lava Orange.

CFORCE 1000 MV

The CFORCE 1000 MV is the evolution of the acclaimed CFORCE 1000, which earned its spurs on all types of surfaces and work/leisure situations, even races like the Dakar rally. Building on this first-class basis, the ‘MV’ is the designation for a mud-specialized edition. The CFORCE 1000 MV is the result of careful and detailed consultation with CFMOTO’s large international consumer base as well as professional mud-riding enthusiasts to optimize the 963cc v-twin engine machine with 90hp and 85Nm of steadfast torque: 90% in fact from the 4-8000rpm range. This power spread is a potent asset for challenging terrain, steep inclines and other environments where any ORV will be put to the test. The mud orientation of the CFORCE 1000 MV’s specs has allowed attention towards the intake and cooling systems, three-stage cooling and large profile tires. The ground clearance is higher and the tracks are wider for that extra, useful stability. A ‘mud strap’ will leverage a rider’s weight in tougher conditions and the ergonomically slope-shaped footrests are another specific detail. Reliability, performance and dependability. Another small example of which is seen in the solid, waterproof rear storage box.

U6 EV

Last, and not least, CFMOTO was proud to let all the attendees of the 2025 international presentation feel the energy from the U6 EV: a formidable and advanced mid-size electric UTV and a landmark in the company’s electrification strategy launched at the end of the previous decade. Concepts and prototypes like the CFORCE 110 and CF-X for children as well as the groundbreaking UFORCE E have appeared in that time but the work and R&D applied to the U6 EV shows CFMOTO’s commitment and investment to worthwhile e-mobility. The U6 EV is a product that could redefine fuel-powered ORVs. At the core of the vehicle is an internally developed 3-in-1 powertrain and a permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with a precision-engineered transmission pushing 35kW at 74Nm, and a 110km range before needing a re-charge. Quiet but quick, silent but strong, it will accelerate from 0-60km/h in less than 6 seconds (80km/h top speed). The U6 EV adapts to a variety of commercial operations, including community maintenance, hotel services, scenic area management, and other business applications. Its usefulness is exemplified by the fact it can also supply external devices with ease has a charging safety lock system and pulls its weight with the rest of them thanks to a 800kg capacity. It comes in Metallic Grey or Kanati Camo colors.

Inducted, fed and watered: the attendance at the Algarve International Circuit then embarked on a concise and enviable program of riding/driving and testing with a large collection of wares that occupied the spotlight in Portugal and will be heading into the garages of European consumers at the quickest possible moment.
