The Moto3 race at the Dutch Grand Prix once again offered a thrilling battle for the top positions. The lightweight category race was once again contested by a large group of riders, including the members of the CFMOTO Aspar Team. Máximo Quiles, who started from the second row of the grid, got off to a good start and showed great pace from the outset, recovering positions to reach the podium places before the halfway point of the race. The Spaniard, who lost a few places after a collision with another rider, showed great maturity in recovering and leading the race for several laps. Quiles suffered a crash when he was on course for his fourth consecutive podium finish. Despite this, the Moto3 rookie got back on his bike, although he was already out of the points, but managed to recover to finish fifteenth.
His teammate Dennis Foggia went from strength to strength and recovered positions in a race that was marked by numerous crashes. The Italian rider was very consistent and gave his all to try to finish at least in the top five. The CFMOTO Aspar Team rider was in sixth place when the race was cancelled due to a crash in the last corner involving three riders, but a penalty for exceeding the track limits dropped him back to eighth place. The CFMOTO Aspar Team leaves the TT Circuit Assen satisfied with the good feelings obtained, although the final results did not reflect the good form of both riders.
In Moto2 category, Holgado started a very physical race from the third row of the grid. The CFMOTO Aspar Team rider, aware that Assen is one of the most technical venues on the calendar, sought his own pace to stay in the top 10 and not lose positions. The rookie in the intermediate category showed great consistency lap after lap and took advantage of every opportunity to continue learning from the more experienced riders until he crossed the finish line in tenth position.
On the other hand, David Alonso started the tenth race of the season from the back of the grid. The Colombian made his best start to date in Moto2 and was able to quickly climb positions to get as close as possible to the points. Unfortunately, an early crash with only four laps completed prevented him from continuing to improve and gain experience in the category.
